We are excited to resume dental care for our patients.
We are proceeding with a gradual reopening of services starting Wednesday May 20th.
The safety of our patients and our dental team is our top priority.
Dental offices have had strict infection control procedures in place for decades which means the majority of Covid-19 protocols are already in place. That said, there are some changes that we have made to increase the safety of our patients and staff.
We have been working hard during this difficult time to prepare the office for treating patients during BC's Phase 2 reopening plan. We would like to make you aware of some changes you will notice when you come for your next appointment.
- Prescreening: we will be prescreening you for symptoms of Covid-19 and risk factors over the phone when confirming your appointment. We will be screening again as soon as you enter the office. We will not be seeing patients with suspected or confirmed Covid-19.
We ask that you come to your appointments alone unless a guardian or caregiver is required.
We ask that you try to come to your appointments at the scheduled time and not earlier which allows us to limit people in the waiting room.
Appointments are being staggered to maintain physical distancing.
Upon arriving at the office you will be asked to wash your hands with hand sanitizer provided at the door. You will be asked to wait at the entrance until one of our team members can meet you there, take your temperature with a no-touch thermometer, ask you the screening questions and immediately escort you to the back operatory room. We are trying to minimize people having to sit in the waiting room.
A log will be kept of all people who enter the office for tracking purposes if a case of Covid-19 is detected as requested by the Provincial Health Officer.
You are welcome to bring your own non-medical mask to your appointment to wear while waiting.
The waiting room has been reduced to just two chairs to allow for physical distancing.
Plexiglass barriers have been setup at the front desk
High-touch surfaces in the waiting room will be disinfected several times a day.
We have added air purification systems to every operatory.
All patients will be given a pre-rinse in the operatory to use before treatment.
Staff will be screened daily for any symptoms or risks related to Covid-19.
